Useless things to know about this car:
- This car is based on some old school sci-fi cars.
As far as visuals are the subject, it’s perfect. It’s eye candy. Lots of detailing, lots of thought while modelling, hell – you can even see “screws” and “bolts”. Stats look nice too, with acceleration sticking out as the main feature. You only wonder, why are those wheels so thick?
And yes, there’s a reason. It’s obviously got some proper power, delivered to all four wheels. Shoots out of the starting position like crazy. Speed isn’t bad either, at 51kph. On smooth surfaces it’s got grip and it’s stable; on loose ones the suspension is like snatched form a Citroen. Pure perfection.
So here’s the rub – it doesn’t turn. I do mean it. It. Doesn’t. Turn. Every part of every lap at every track will be a nightmare. It has grip and stability not because it’s well-balanced – it’s just because wide tyres keep it in place while also making it nearly impossible to point the car to where you want to go. And if you get blown away from the raceline, you can forget about going back – full respawn will take less time than wiggling yourself onto the correct direction.
And that’s a shame, because other than that this car has a great potential to be a very competitive buggy, one that could even bite some Amateur cars. As it stands now, maybe AI will be able to do something impressive with it, so you might want it as aforementioned eye candy – but don’t expect to get any fun out of it yourself.
Pros:
– Looks awesome and detailed
– Params are very nice
– Great suspension, able to provide grip where most other cars wil fail
Cons:
– Doesn’t turn
– Let me repeat: it doesn’t turn
– I think you get it by now
– Do I need to say it again? It’s just disappointing
