A new car, a station wagon this time ! Inspired by the '78 Chevrolet Malibu Station Wagon, it's a good car, with a correct top speed, and a good acceleration. It has a quirky handling, but if you understand it, you could have good results with it ! Have fun !

PS : A big thanks to Tubers for the "cargred" skin and for the engine sound, and to Lukisav for the "cartron" skin :)
Credit also goes to Driver 2 developers, who created the engine sound this car uses.

Update 1.01 (2022-01-31) : Fixed wheels for "car3" and "cargred" skins. Thanks LivingWithGames for the fix ! Next update will fix other skins and the paintkit.

Update 1.02 (2022-01-31) : Fixed wheels for "car", "car2" and "cartron" skins. Fixed pureblack issue on "cartron" skin. Thanks again to LivingWithGames, who fixes all my mapping errors on the wheels :)

Update 1.1 (2022-11-25) : Major fixes for the body, the hull and the params, mainly done by LivingWithGames.

  1. And man, that puts me with the 4th time I comment on this car, yikes. This time, a proper review redo. Biased really since I was the one that wanted to fix the car.

Looks wise, that hasn’t changed since, it’s still a good looker, an old 80’s Chevy Malibu thing, maybe a wagon Impala. But it’s the handling that’s different.

The acceleration is a bit on the sluggish side, fit for the car in question, it packs more speed this time, actually Advanced pace now, when previously, couldn’t even compete with Rookies. It can still have it’s unique sliding nature, but this time it’s not always the case, there’s moments you’ll need to use it, others, when you need to tap handle it.

Overrall, I’m glad I FINALLY gave you the help you needed, because this car is no longer cannon fodder. It can actually fight and actually is balanced around the class.

  2. And because I cannot edit already set in stone comment, I did further testing. Given the oddly interesting parameters..this car is somehow below Rookies. One time trial I did at Jimsonweeds Raceway, it somehow was slower than Phat Slug. That really isn’t good. It needs more than a top speed/acceleration buff, it might need either better grip or a tighter radius. As long you can stillkeep your view of it having a quirky handling.

  3. Though, after some time with the fixes, decide to give it a full spin and while aesthetic are everything, to some people…this one delivers it as I am a fan of classic cars, classsic car stocklikes, too are included. But the performance not only is weird for this car..it is…unfortunately, underpowered.

Paintjobs for it are well done, two main ones, a simple yellow one, an alternative Castor livery and one kinda like ahearse by LukaVolt. These all look good all in all. But while I like how it kinda handles to be losing it’s tail end on turns…the performance is underwwhelming. While it makes sense you are racing in a wagon, a rust bucket of sorts…it still needs performance if one is willing to win. At best, this car seems more suited for Amateurs.

One way to fix this, either improve it’s acceleration or give it a better top speed. As it stands, while you can finish average spots, other times in other tracks, there’s high chances or being at the bottom of the pack.

I have a guilty pleasure with this one, but the performance is what give it a somewhat…sour taste. A shame, really.
