This car is inspired by the Ferrari 288 GTO. It's a remodel of a car of the same name by MOH. I modified the UV, the body, the wheels, and I also remade the textures.

This car is fast, with excellent top speed and acceleration, but with a whimsical handling. It's quite a medley between Humma and AMW. Have fun with it !

Update 1.01 (2021-09-04) : A duplicate of the main skin is now removed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Update 1.1 (2022-01-06) : Parameters were a little bit modified, to make the car easier to drive. Old parameters are always in the archive. Many thanks to TT for the fix!

Update 1.2 (2022-04-03) : New parameters by TT.

  1. With the new parameters on it and having tested upon time-trials, the car is more forgiving now. It still has possible whimsical handling and not all jumps are guaranteed stable (like Botanical Garden) but that being said, I managed to achieve sub 24:XXX with it, meaning it is on par with Pros.

It’s not an easy car by any means, if you misuse it, you can pull off 90 degree or so turns, in other words, spinning out. Like the name suggests, the Toros is like a bull, waiting to be mastered. Only those that master it’s true potential, will stay ahead.

Previous original parameters of it were very unique, so unique to the point I could NOT handle it, where I originally deemed undriveable. The improved paremeters did help it plead it’s case, but it was still bad nough I wouldn’t even come close to making a flawless lap at least. Call me a crappy player, if you will. But with the parameters handled by TTDriver, there’s is still remnants of what the Toros is there for, while finally remaining fairly competent. Ah such, I have improved my score for the vote.

  2. Thank you for your nice feedback Kiwi, I am glad that you like this car ! ;)
For the wheel I can try to think about what I can do. Maybe I can try to make them bigger, if you want :D
The car could look more aggressive, in a good way. I’ll make some tests.

Don’t hesitate if you have any other feedbacks about Toro. It helps me to improve myself and to make better creations ;)

  3. After testing the car I have only one real complaint, and this is visually related. To be more exact, it’s regarding the tires on the back. I know Toro GT84 is only “based” on a 288 GTO, but the thin tires on the back make it look really funny (in a bad way). The “real” 288 GTO has 225/55 tires on the front, and massive 265/50 tires on the back. (Example pic: https://www.autogespot.be/fr/ferrari-288-gto/2016/11/14). Toro GT84 looks pretty well-behaved from the back, and not like a 80’s RWD Monster. Other than that, good job with the car. I start working on my skin for it now. :)

  4. Grewing up in the late 80’s/early 90’s, the 288 GTO was of course one of my favourite cars when I was a kid. I buyed myself also exactly this Bburrago model from my pocket money: http://www.raguz.de/new/cars/ferrari/racing/tech_ferrari_288_gto_25.htm

Mid-90’s I modified this model a bit, including removing all the stickers. Something which I regret till today.

So seeing this car has always some sentimental value for me. I didn’t tested it so far, so I voted just for it’s looks so far. As soon I’ve tested it, I will adjust my rating. But I am sure it will be great. I eventually will make a skin pretty soon for it. Maybe inspired by the paintjob from the Bburrago model you can see in the link above? Let’s see. :)
