    Update v1.1: Fixed axles.

Part hot rod, part lowrider. Fully unhinged.

The Del Mar Spiritus is a custom RC car of confused identity. On one hand it feature detailed modifications to the Del Mar body shell and unique rims that give a distinct lowrider feel. But under the pretty appearance lies the high-performing E10-4 V2 chassis and top-of-the-line electronics. All this makes for an impressively hefty electric-powered car. And yet it's riding on the inadequately soft and mushy springs from the stock Del Mar???

Although the Spiritus accelerates to its great top speed in the blink of an eye, the soft springs and barely-functional tires do little to help the car remain stable. It has even worse grip than the Del Mar on the T10-2X chassis, and strategic powersliding is very much necessary to keep up with other super pros.

    ...

    Tips:

    • The Del Mar Spiritus has excellent acceleration, good top speed, good weight, odd handling, and laughable traction. Due to wheelspin, this car is not as fast as it could be off the line.
    • This is meant ot be a "drift" car. You can and should still do grip turns when you can, but it's also important to take advantage of this car's stability while powersliding.
    • The handling behavior of the Spiritus is a bit weird. It's weighty, a bit sloppy, but also surprisingly twitchy. Power is rear-biased. Oversteer is pretty easy to correct, and countersteering effort is mostly minimal.
    • The suspension is exactly the same as on the Del Mar (amateur). Given the higher Gs and higher weight of the Spiritus, weight transfer is even more of an issue.
    • This car does not like walls. it tends to climb up walls on the side and it's hard to pull away from walls due to the low grip and long body.

    ...

    Misc:

    • This car was first inspired by the Danver Spectra from Ridge Racer V. Like the the Spectra, the Spiritus is a high acceleration car with silly suspension and a tendancy to slide around.
    • The default skin is that of a typical lowrider with metallic blue paint. The "RRV" skin is a parody of the Danver Spectra. The "Taxi" skin is a nod to Crazy Taxi and is based of a 1955 Chevy cab in NYC.
    • The parameters are very "cheaty." I pulled a lot of tricks to get the car to handle in this specific way.
    • The car in-game is just called "Spiritus" despite the RVW name and carbox.
    • This car plays around with transparency to toggle various parts - the interior, twin radio antannae, spare tire, roof, back wheel covers (and the hood scoop too tbf) can all be hidden with alpha.
    • Paint kit and "realistic RC" skins in the extra folder.

  1. I’m always looking forward to your uploads because you release some quality machines.

This one is my favourite so far!
It’s grippy, nippy the good kind of slippy. Great u turn recovery. It is capable of 360 spins on command and off a ramp like it’s Rumble Racing.

Thankfully, it’s easier to pick up than the Spectra was but just as fun!
