    hey there! ever wanted to drive like an alternating current? well now you can. current is capable of driving upside down with no issues, but also driving in reverse the same way as normal. it is 4 wheel steering. so it comes as no surprise that fast recovery is its main selling point. you could also look at current as the true rotor in semi-pros because it is up par with cars as adeon, zipper or bhv1. it is powered by an electrical motor turbo008X which is capable of the top speed of 38mph but it comes with a weight that brings the cars total up to 2.9kg, thats a lot. thats about it, thanks, have fun and enjoy!

  1. No flippable car is truly free from issues: They’re a necessary compromise for an unconventional setting that rarely gets used nowadays (and it’s a shame, as I personally love the premise of Rotor).

    But even with its ever-present flaws – its gargantuan size hampering recovery, its tendency to lose control over uneven or sloped terrain and even the self-detonating issues – But once getting used to, Current becomes a quirky yet fun pick for singleplayer racing. It’s quick, Really flexible for its size and incredibly resilient to pickup combat.

    I think it is a proper take of what a proper “Competitive Rotor” could be by toning down its particular cons by quite a margin, yet not removing them altogether. Overall a sweet car. Keep it up!

  2. I don’t see how poor parameters are a skill issue, but okay. I mean, I did admit that player control pays a big part in how the car drives but still.

  3. The fault is still a lot on the side of parameters though. Sure, the player control is important, but that doesn’t do poor parameters any justice, even if the car is better than original Rotor.

  4. I disagree about this car flipping and spinning out too much. Sure if you compare it to a “regular” car you can say that but as Zeino says in the description this is “the true Rotor in Semi-Pros”. Compared to Rotor this is sooo stable – there are many places with Rotor where you just have to pray you don’t spin out and flip. With Current if you flip or spin out the problem is most often in the player not the car.

  5. I’m most likely going to be messing around with parameters for this car to make it more suitable for use by AI. For the flipping, I do know why it does that, I’m just saying the flipping tendency is far too high, as you will most likely flip on any smallest bump or slightly sharper turn. Spinning out is still a massive issue even for a middle skilled player like me so, not sure what to say to that one. Still, the car’s got potential, although wasted and the best part about it is the design.

  6. It’s true, the AI sucks with it, but the reason it flips, like Rotor, it’s just so it can also run also upside down – nothing wrong with that. But there’s a reason Acclaim disabled said AI by default on Rotor, even the devs found it cumbersome to even be competitive against the human player. Ths same history repeats here with Current. I still appreciate letting the AI use it.

    As for how it handles, it can spin out if you let go of the throttle, but if you keep using it mostly and keep tapping the handling for certain turning, holding in some, and letting go for even less than seconds, you can master this car. I don’t usually rave about Rotor style car, but the model, aesthetic, and especially the handling even if it uses 4-wheel steering? I honestly love it, and plan to keep it. Heck, the giant LiPo battery stuck in the middle of the car’s body/chassis is such an aesthetic. Well done.

  7. While the car looks great, sadly, it’s handling and driving are an immense disappointment. The car loves to flip, just like Rotor and loves to spin out, far too much. The AI handles the car horribly too. It’s too bad really, because the car was promising at first, but it will still get a high rating from me for design and texturing. Also a tiny thing regarding texturing – While it is great, it could use just a bit more simplified design or even a slight blur, closer to majority of stock cars. Overall rating will sadly have to be a mere 3.1 stars from me at least.

  8. That reminds me of the stock cars with the way it’s modelled and textured! To this day I’m not too sure what makes the stock cars, well, “stock” but I know one when I can see one and this is it. Very reminiscent of Rotor, I’m surprised it’s not based on it (design wise). I will check out how it drives sometime soon and come back to make a new comment as well as give my rating :3 Excited to potentially finally have more good cars for Semi-Pro class.
