Have you ever wondered: what if there more promotional cars? What if every magazine/store had their personalized demo preview? What if McDonald's had an arcade machine hooked up with RV and the competition wanted a piece of that cake? Well, Demo Expansion Pack is here to feed these type of thoughts.

This pack comes bundled with 16 cars (for now), 2 of them being exclusives, each representing either:

    • Demo previews:
      - E3: (v0.01e3, the demo preview which made its debute at E3 1999 before final release).
      - PC Team: (a demo similar to the original v0.01, but slightly changed. funny enough, in another cd they had a shit ton of old custom community cars and most of them were Sprinter XL repaints. Another reason why it is based on the NB Miata.)
-Creative Labs: (lost demo version, rumoured to be bundled with one of their products).
    • Magazines:
      - Level: a romanian magazine which covered the game few times. Issue comes with a retail copy.
-Xtrem PC: same as Level but without CD copies.
-Secret Service: polish magazine that featured tips, tricks, reviews and more.
-PC Gaming: same as Xtrem PC.
-Xtreme PC: suggested by norfair, this argentinian magazine covered most, if not all, console ports of the game.
-Expert Gamer: international magazine that covered the console ports.
    • Media:
-GOG: in celebration for the release of version 1.1.
-MSN Gaming Zone: an online hub dedicated for many games where you could gather, race, discuss and so on.
-Gamespy: same as MSN with the only bonus of having reviews.
-Taito: company that helped in the publishment of RV over in Japan.
    • What if..?
-KFC TC: small gag since MC Rc exists.
-BK TC: same as KFC TC
-XBox: if the leaked xbox port was actually finished on time and had its own promotional car. Tried my best to capture the edginess of that era.

Comes bundled with the low rez extra option, in case you want to experience a true stock like feeling. It features lower resolution skins and carboxes by replacing them, base zip file is mandatory to extract in order to work.

Many thanks to norfair (for allowing me to use Twilight GT, Rad Signal and Toyworld GT), TT (allowing me to use Dizzillusion) and yun (for paramising KFC TC and the amazing meme video). Stay sharp, more exciting updates will come in the future for this pack! Have fun!

  1. This is such a neat concept! I love it! I think my favorite cars, in terms of aesthetics, are the MSN Gaming Zone and Xbox Live cars. The Xbox Live car certainly handles the best out of all of these cars, in my opinion. Easily a 5/5!

Also, would I be allowed to try to create my own skin for the MSN Gaming Zone car? If so, would it be okay if I could have the paintkit for it, please?

  2. I.. Didn’t find anything. I’ve made the whole package from scratch (except of 4 base cars by other members kind enough to allow their modification and addition here, as stated above).
