Changelog (2018.05.11):
Burner increased the car's size which had effect on the car's
behaviour such as it's got extra weight and slower acceleration.
AI drives it better, still the unique characteristics remained.
The older brother of the Clockwork Pod, but certainly the better one as far performance goes. It is very retro for both cars, fitting the bubble aesthetic older cars had back then, and handles rather well, still prone to flipping sideways, much less so than it’s newer, smaller brother. It’s top speed however, isn’t worth bragging about.
One thing to go by as well, this thing is LARGE. Like, as large as Phat Trucker, that kind of large. It is weird and funny looking, and I like that. But a top speed of 29mph with such little stability it could have is ot exactly, ideal. Unlike Clockwork Pod though, it does go up ramps and hills, no problem whatsoever.
Overrall, I like it, it’s a lot different from the other cars you drive…okay, not far off from the Canopy, but this came earlier. Not the best car for Rookie’s but it’s far from bad.
Car rated as Rookie. Model looks stylish and well-made, with small details visible without any problem during races. Its handling is also fitting to how it looks and sounds – it’s got a very decent acceleration and top speed, and is comfortable on tarmac. Feels like you’re actually driving something taken straight from atomic era, or pre-war Fallout.
Pros:
– Pleasing aesthetics and engine sound
– Good params, comparable with top vanilla Rookies
– Great agility regardless of speed, thanks to small wheelbase and high-grip tyres
– Smooth ride thanks to a good spring rate
Cons:
– Stiff dampers make it prone to overturning on impact with traffic or sudden elevation changes
– Becomes very touchy on loose/slippery surfaces, bordering on deadly if not driven carefully
– Vulnerable to hits with weapons
