There is no readme with this, which is a shame, as I am curious as to its origins. It is sometimes used to test a car’s top speed, although some quirky cars won’t reach their top speed here. I do not think this track was intended to be used solely to test a car’s top speed, as in that case it would’ve made sense to have a long straight, then a 180° turn, then another long straight, followed by another 180° turn. However, after the first straight, the line actually becomes a bit more interesting, although most straights are still very long.
However, something that does suggest this track being intended as a test track of some sorts, is that it is rather unpolished, especially when compared to other tracks by Manmountain. There is no scenery, for example. As to gameplay, you can easily get an X at the last corner, which is quite annoying, and at the very end of the lap a part of the enclosure sticks out which can’t be spotted easily, as it’s grey on grey. Notably, there are no pick-ups, and the AI isn’t very good.
I think that maybe this was a concept for some new style of track in Re-Volt? I’m not sure. If you know more about the origins of this track, let me know. :) For regular races, I would certainly not recommend it, however.
