  1. The track is extremely simple and rather boring, and some parts of the modelling aren’t even used. The raceline is just an extremely long straight, followed by a stupidly sharp 180% degree turnaround, then another extremely long straight, then another stupidly sharp 180% degree turnaround, and then straight on to the start. It’s a boring track, without pickups or anything else to add interest other than parts of the track being very narrow—the turnarounds being too narrow if you ask me.
What makes this track more interesting (but certainly not better), however, is that the POS nodes and AI nodes were put down very lazily. As a result, while you pass by the start in the reverse direction, the game gets confused, which is shown by an X appearing for a while and the radar being weird. However, if you drive on you’ll finish the lap without issues. But if you don’t drive on, but rather reverse into the finish when you get the X… you’ll finish the lap hundreds of meters early. Sometimes the AI does this by mistake too (and other times they race part of the lap twice), which was really confusing the first time I saw it happen. So yeah, I guess that teaches us to not be conservative with POS and AI nodes?
