Looking back, the map was very ambitious but it has many errors, I would have liked to see a version without these and more polished. The good thing is that I take out a third part of the map that shows the evolution of the creator but keeping a tiny error.
This track uses the off-road kit in some innovative ways. I like that: off-road kit tracks tend to feel very samey, and this one does not. There is even a minor graphical edit for a different feel.
All of the track has a very slippery surface type, which is interesting, but I think it would have been better if some of it hadn’t been. There is one part especially, a very steep slope upward, where cars suffer a lot from the slippery surface type. In fact, you will find that CPU cars get stuck here. To make it worse, you’re actually supposed to take a rather long jump from this ramp. With Rookies, it can only be cleared when you’re under battery, but even Pros often won’t make it. When you don’t make it, you fall down, and repositioning will put you in the air where you fall down again. You can drive back up to the track, but this is made very difficult by there being trees down there, of which the leaves have collission. Even when racing Pros, half the roster will get stuck here.
The rest of the line is pretty cool. I like the use of ramps and tires, and there is plenty of decoration as well. Many instances don’t line up well, though, which regularly causes slight hiccups when moving from one to the next, which are amplified by the slippery terrain.
One final downside of this track is that it isn’t too clear where to go. Funnily enough, this is true for both the player and the CPUs. The player might get lost sometimes, or take the turn to the finish line too early, but the CPUs actually sometimes don’t go to the finish line, but take another turn around the mountain. Adding this to the fact that lots of cars get stuck at the ramp or the jump after it, you are very unlikely to have competitors for first when playing this track in single player.
Overall, I really wish that Shawn64 would’ve put more time into this one. It has lots of nice ideas, in my opinion, but it is severely unpolished. One final example: when you load the race, one of the CPU cars up front gets a turn, which means it starts at an angle or even upside down. It’s funny to see, but it does take away even more of the challenge.

Note: The date on the website is wrong for this one. This track was actually released in 2001.
