Finally Re-Volt cars returned to Isivolt!

RVGL 21.0905 (or newer) is recommended for this track.

The description of the track is in the video, enjoy!

  1. I noticed this track late. But I advise you to try. It is not very simple, but there are several jokes that you have not seen before. I basically liked

  2. Hi Keyran, I’m excited to play this!
Could you maybe email me (or send it to LC, or put it up wherever) version 1.0.0 of the track? I’d like to try all versions, especially because you changed the gameplay between versions.

  3. Here I answer the 4 latest comments I got.

@RVracer4ever you’re probably using an outdated version of RVGL, this track requires RVGL 21.0905 or newer to work properly because it uses light, sound and spark animations (the spark animation is smoke behing the reactors of the plane, but it doesn’t work well).

I made the intro sequence only for the video to show what happen before the race. Believe me, the track made for it isn’t worth trying it unless you want to reach Pest Control’s top speed on a horizontal surface (but there are other tracks for this), that’s why it’s not even included as a bonus provided with Isivolt 2. Also, adding that at the beginning of Isivolt 2 would be boring (it’s a one-minute straight line) and wouldn’t work properly, some cars might miss the plane.

@LivingWithGames Well done! I haven’t played Time Trial again after the update.

@Kiwi Thank you very much for the comments you wrote on both Isivolt tracks. They are exactly what I wanted to make (even more thanks to a RVGL update).

@Paperman I’m not fully satisfied with this part of the track, maybe I’ll remake the reverse ramp later.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  4. This is a cool track, but there’s something I think you should look at – the plane at the beginning does not open it’s rear door, and there is also no intro sequence where you race up to the plane taking off. It can’t be something that I forgot to add. Please fix it.

  5. This is the feedback for racing on normal, and not reverse..and after beating your time as I got a 1:18.5XX, you done improved well. The flow isn’t the best, but it is actually…very playable. And it’s a sprint track, that’s a serious bonus. Not many of those.

You have actually put heart into it. Good job.

  6. Oooookay, Keyran. It was already obvious for me when I played your first track – Isivolt – for the first time. A really talented person with a lot of passion for Re-Volt joined the creators community here. I also liked (most) of the other tracks you released during the last year. But with this new track you climbed up my personal respect-o-ladder to the very topmost step.

I don’t care if the track can be raced online or not. There are other tracks to race online, not every track has to be online-friendly. I don’t care about the graphics. It’s a part where you can hopefully improve someday in the future, but there are more important things. And I also don’t care if some parts are frustrating to drive. I do the same thing sometimes: I use Re-Volt to express myself – use it as a form of art. Everything on this track is exactly how you WANTED it to be, so it’s exactly how it SHOULD be. And it just works exactly as it is.

This track is also ultra-creative, fun, and the most important thing for me: Full of passion. Some of the ideas you implemented are so crazy, that I had to laugh out loud. I love it. You even made a teaser-trailer for this track, by using RVGL as an engine! Oh my god. As I said: You have my full respect. Continue doing stuff exactly how you do.

I can’t wait to see what else you can come up with in the future. Congratulations.

  7. Slippery cars can’t climb well on reverse cave ramps
Some cars get stuck in that section and can’t drive
Cave is the weak point: Rookie, Amateur cars

  8. Isivolt 2 got its first update!
    Version 2.0.1:
+ Moved the start position because it wasn’t very good for Time Trial.
+ Reduced the intensity of the force fields in the office (please tell me if it is not enough reduced).
+ Added different force fields and a different isivolt2r texture in the reverse version.
+ Modified the properties of the sand, it should be slightly easier to drive on it.

Thank you to the people who gave me feedback or reported issues.

Btw, I have just tested the practice mode, I couldn’t get the star with stock cars in Simulation mode. It’s easier in Arcade mode.

  9. @GForce thanks for your comment!
I agree to update anything related to gameplay if needed (I won’t add or remove any part).
It is very hard to balance force fields, too weak people don’t notice them, too strong people complain about them.
It is worse in the reverse version, because I can’t make different force fields.

I would like more feedback, I can balance the force fields differently.
About the start line, just set STARTPOS to 0 0 0 in levels/isivolt2/isivolt2.inf to play online, but I wan’t to keep it because it is unique.

  10. The track is overall fun, the drop in the beginning is good for single player only, online it will be a problem for most people.
Now my problem with the track is the force fields in the office area, that’s just annoying and its not fun to drive, + lighter cars will struggle really hard to clear that.
