    Super Mario Kart Mushroom Cup Circuit Nº 1

    I had a lot of fun to integrate my first racing challenge into my most loved game Re-Volt.

    Good illusion when using a Mario Kart car pack :-)

  1. It’s really hard to rate this track (so I wouldn’t) (-;

    The race line, Flow & Pickups are very very (too) simple;
    Visuals, Artdesign & Atmosphere are very very (too) simple;
    …/…
    In truth, it is nostalgia that operates…
    So, Raceline, Flow, Pickups are crazy
    Visuals, Artdesign & Atmosphere too
    …/…
    I Can’t rate this track (-;

  2. Haha, it’s so cute!
    The scale is indeed smaller than expected, but I think it works well, actually. It would be nice if the other issues pointed out could be fixed. And I always appreciate a readme.txt letting a user that doesn’t have access to RVW (or got the track from elsewhere) know who created the track and when it was published. :)
    Great job on your first track, though. I participated in the Super Mario Kart world championship last week and this is a fun reminder of it. :)

  3. Thanks for the encouragement !
    It was the first time I used a custom folder and I haven’t worked with wav files so far, should try it in the future.
    The red X was not intended, I guess the track zones have to be modified. Maybe someone could give me an advice.
    And sorry for the inaccuracy of the finish line, I didn’t realized.
    Best regards !

  4. Iconic track from the Mario Kart, the first track, after all.

    I’ve noticed that the finish line isn’t aligned with the actual finish line of the track, is it intended?

    Also I love how you can kinda cut the second to last turn just like in the original, but if you cut too much you get Red X, i don’t know which philosophy is intended, but so far it seems if you don’t cut too much you’re fine, but if you go for a straight line I’m getting Red X.

  5. Although the track has some flaws (it’s very very narrow, as well the graphics feel a bit “rusty”), I have to congratulate you to your first track, motorhand! You put a lot of love in this track. All the decorations and details are very nice and fun. You even used a custom object animation, which is great. :) Overall very well done, keep it up!

    One hint for your next track: You already replaced and placed the “slider.m” and used it for the plant animation, but you can also replace the objects standard SFX by placing the appropriate WAV-files in your tracks /custom folder. In your example the sound of the object could have been replaced by putting an edited “sdrsopen.wav” and “sdrsclos.wav” in your /custom folder.
