    Another conversion and this time, I got y'all something spicy thanks to the help of Crimson Fury and a bit of troubleshooting how to get the headlights and tailights to appear as I figured it out. - one of the bonus cars in the PSX version of High Stakes, the Phantom!

    This was ripped with the 3d Screenshotter in Duckstation, but the textures were in Avocado, I think. This car gave me a bit of hell, but the latets rip came mostly intact, I didn't 100% tweak every vert because...it came out mighty fine! Shocking, for once.

    Getting the sound recording however was a bit of a fickle mistress to not make it clip so, Audacity and especially Paulstretch came in handy. The latter is G.O.A.T.ed for sure.

    Alas, I made sure this handled fine enough for a S.Pro, not the best, but it's certainly heavy! Have fun!

    v1.1 changes:
    • Marginally increased top speed, may be the same as before;
    • Accel buffed from 2.38 to 2.96;
    • Weight changed from 2.5kg to 2.2kg;
    • Car turns a bit better and has a bit more grip to compensate for performance.

  1. @T-Bone The Marowak: Thank you so much for the comment. This means alot to me and LivingWithGames! But yes, what LWG said, I rip models and clean them as much as possible, also making sure the mesh comes good aswell. Parameters have always been my weakest point, no matter if LWG or anyone else explain it to me, I still won’t get it (I know I should learn about it, but I have this fear of screwing up the parameters otherwise the car does act stupid). That’s why I collab with LWG for most of these cars since we get along well (and others too!). And yes, I personally don’t care at all about the Phantom. Yes, it’s design is gorgeous but it just doesn’t interest me.

    And as for the Titan, it’s on the way, and it will be LWG’s release. I love the car aswell.

  2. Technically, I didn’t make the conversion, I personally wanted it, Crimson wanted to do nothing with it as his release so, I wanted this! He mostly cleans the models when needs be, I make sure the models are as straight and well proper as possible, given the way PSX rendered the graphics! I know parameters better than him so, he gets me the cars I need, I help with parameters myself, and his releases, I help with parameters too since he isn’t the best. I try to make it appropriate, too.

    It’s funny you talk about that, I’m getting the underside of it properly redone for the ‘wheel wells’ for it to be approved.

  3. I have to say, your PS1-converted cars for Re-Volt are all pretty cool! I really look forward to seeing more of these conversions from you! I hope, maybe sometime in the future, Titan from NFS:HS will be converted.
