Based car: citroen karin
Just like what messkond said, the visuals truly are mint. The base for the car, the paintjob, everything. It’s basically a pyramid on wheels, though lower than I figured it to be thanks to the carbox kinda misleading me but that’s okay. It’s FWD, so suffice to say, it’s stable and on par with the rest of the Rookie cars.
Pretty much another fun car to use for Rookies if you like weird funky looking cars such as the Pyramint.
Visuals are mint. There, I said it. But really – they’re mint. Every little detail that is present in Karin, is there as well in the Pyramint. From a techical standpoint it gets even better, because Pyramint does drive. It’s not a speed demon by any means, topping up at 48kph, but it’s not falling back without a fight either.
It’s fairly easy to drive, similar to Sprinter XL – except its FWD drivetrain makes it calmer while cornering. Steering model is simple and secure – the car has no problems manoeuvering through narrow sections of tracks, but keeps enough straight line stability to not be annoying. Basically a kart, but less violent. It’s also well-balanced physically, making it exceptionally good while landing from jumps – as long as it lands evenly with all wheels, you’re good to go. It stumbles in tight battles with other cars, since it’s so light it’ll easily get pushed away by others.
Pros:
– Well-made recreaction of the base car
– Very decent and balanced params
– Nice and simple to drive, has good agility and responsive drivetrain
Cons:
– Very light, to the point of it being dangerous in races
– Once it land on the side, quick flip is necessary – hits from traffic won’t help
– Might feel a little too stiff, if you like softer riding and bouncier cars
