    Re-VolectriX..

    By Skitch2.

Scalectrix meets Re-Volt in this fast and furious fun fest!!

The Fuse has blown and the kids have run of to find Dad so he can fix there Slot Car Racing Toy.

While they are gone, the RC Cars Take to the strip to see whos the best!!

See how fast you can get around this first course before the kids come back!!

This Track Is heavy on GFX so if you are the owner of a dino PC you may find it a bit twitchy!

There will be a kit made for this Play Room so you can all have a bash at Scalectrix Tracks of your own.

The Re-Volt Community has been slowing down lately so i am going to produce some Kits in the comming months to see if I can boost a little more interest in the Game.

This Game has been part of my life since 1999 and i will always be playing around in max and making things for it as it is still suprising me even now.

I hope this track will inspire or amuse you lol. I hope Both!!

    Have Fun......

    Mike (Skitch2).............

All Modeling and Editing was done by myself, so thanks go out to ME.... lol.

  1. Another creation from Skitch! This track is quite simple in turns! Which makes it easier to win the race, of course you can easily fly from the track! The textures are well made for their age too.

  2. This track puts you on a Scalectrix board. And it does feel like Scalectrix layout, with esses and elevation drops being a fixture all throughout the lap. Racing is very pleasant, with smooth surface providing a good base to battle for positions. And I say battle, but it’s just a racing battle – no pickups to pick up.

The visuals are also good. Colours of the surroundings look like they were picked deliberately to make the track itself pop out, and that does the job. The room you’re in is full of background features, so you never feel like you’re racing in an abstract space. There are minor things to point out though – track limits are fairly difficult to spot, which might become problematic, since any fall results in a reset. Also, the barriers look unfinished in most corners. Sometimes they have sponsorship, sometimes they don’t; sometimes they are full size, sometimes they’re too high; sometimes they have pillars, sometimes they float.

It’s a great concept executed nicely, if you look past minor visual inconveniences. It races great and is satisfying to play at, and the AI grasps the subject fairly well.
