This is the fourth car of the 20th anniversary car collection.
Road Rage based on the same named R/C car of 'RC Cars' game developed by Creat Studios and published by 1C Company. More exactly based on its default shape as you can start the mentioned game with.
The entire model itself is scratch-made, so it is not an exact replica, we didn't aim for that anyway.
It comes with two liveries, both including the 20th logo.
Road Rage was the slowest car of 'RC Cars' game, that's why it meant to be in lower class here. Despite of that in advanced this car is a top tier regarding its skills. Easy to control, slightly bumpy and adequately fast. As a monster truck, easy to tumble it up.
Summarized: a fun car to drive.
Originally we intented to call this car 'Road Pirate', but we kept the base car's name instead. The black variant is a reference to it.
Special thanks to FZG who worked on axles and springs, great job mate!
Update (18.03.2021)
- Fixed axles
- Env removed from chassis
- Visual upgrade
- Little tweak in parameters (e.g. got rid of spinning out effect when hitting ramps)
Thanks to Mighty to point the above ones out and doing the env and visual changes.
The car shines the most on flat-ish tracks with default terrain, here it can do it’s best job at using it very big size to bully and block paths of other cars, thanks to its decent raw stats, just be careful when approaching, rough terrain, off-road, ramps and landings, as the car can have unexpected reaction or flips that can make you lose a lot of time, so it’s definetely not made to approach these scenarios without issues, but on the rest of the scenario it’s a very enjoyable drive. Against pickups it feels filmsy especially against Shockwave which sends the car high up rotating in the air multiple times, similar to BossVolt.
For me this is one of the best Monster Trucks released in the last time. The main paintjob is so beautiful – great job on this. The model is also very nice. I like the modelled exhaust, as well the realistic axles. What I don’t like that much: The body has no base – it’s like a real RC car, but it does not fit the overall “stock-like” approach from the rest of the car. However, Road Rage is still one of my favourite cars released in the last years. One word to the params: In general I like them. They could be a little bit more bouncy – but otherwise it’s very fun to drive.
By the way – maybe I will find the motivation to do a paintjob for the car soon. I already would have some ideas for it… :)
