At long last, it's finally here. What do you get by mixing the two most famous vans in triple-A racing game history? A serious tarmac ripper... with a ladder and pipes on top, naturally. Parameters by Skarma. Includes a PSD paintkit, just like the original Triton. Skins for Triton can be made compatible with this vehicle by copypasting the details and shading layers, which contain the extra bits for the ladder, pipes and roof straps.

The idea of making a stocklike Ford Transit Forza Edition (hence the RE) came to my mind ever since the Triton project came to life, and this very vehicle sat for a long time somewhere in my drive waiting for parameters. The livery gets inspiration from the Renault Espace F1, made famous in the virtual world by its inclusion in Gran Turismo 2.

Much like the Forza counterpart, it's very much a "meme" vehicle - don't let its utilitarian appearance fool you, this thing was built with one thing in mind - sheer cornering grip. A very unlikely Quicksilver-style Super Pro machine, so to speak.

  1. Fastest big chungus.

I have not driven the original Triton myself as comparison, but here I thought heavy weight meant bad steering. Logic doesn’t work here always. This big boy may not be the fastest, it has that going for it – the acceleration is not only RAPID, this guy is so heavy, it GRIPS like a mad dog. Tearing the track apart like no other.

The livery itself is a shoutout to the french boy, the Renault Espace F1, renown for it’s fast Minivan status, F1 engine, and gripping, and the iconic paintjob. And boy do I see it. This has extra details going for it, like the ladder ontop, the strap holding it…this is no ordinary van. Don’t underestimate it.

If you want want to match it, bring something just as grippy, or fast – speedy tracks, it does the job fine – but technical tracks, even icy tracks – it’s a king. Watch out.

  2. I’d add a time attack style front and rear spoilers as optional extras, something like on Megalodon XL.
