Well... After something like a 4 year hiatus, here it finally is. Originally conceived as a more powerful counterpart of Sprint Ace and planned to be released alongside it. Loosely inspired by the Mazda MX-5 Super 20.
This car was born as a simple repaint of Sprinter XL with just some minor model tweaks, namely a roof scoop and a lip spoiler, but after some time I decided to give it a thorough refresh with details similar to the NB generation MX-5.
RWD, relatively light weight (although not as light as the vanilla Sprinter XL) and a healthy dose of power make this a competent Semi-Pro racer in the right hands. Not really suited for jump-heavy tracks.
Shades of Sprinter XL, although I never played with the Sprint Cup myself, though. But since it;s a remodel of the former, we go with that. Twenty-M is a car I admit to have ignored, and having done a simple remodel like the Feika, this one falls in line with that. Simple model adjustments, nothing more. Does it work? Yeah, yeah it does.
The adjustments are nice to look at like the wide roof scoope for something common in race cars and a nice color scheme and paintjob for the car and while you could make repaints..the mapping can leave a bit to be desired – it has that classic Acclaim mapping that, for this car, it works, really. Different from the Sprinter XL, this one is RWD, but I like it. You can barely fix yourself on the ice, can have the chnage of spinning out on slow speeds and losing control, this isn’t for the beginners for sure.
Overall, don’t let the looks fool you – this a proper post-acclaim car for sure. The details, the shading, everything is well done. Not perfect, but very well done.
