Tungstein
Advanced Car Friday, 13th September 2024 |
With the recent overhaul, Tungstein might just be the heaviest car in re-volt history. It's four times as heavy as Brickwall! Maybe there's a Misc. car that's heavier, but I haven't found one. Either way, this thing is a blast to play as. it's completely immune to rockets and water balloons, and bombs and clone pickups do basically nothing to it. It has so much momentum that getting zapped doesn't hurt much either. You can drive through traffic jams and pileups and scatter your opponents like dry leaves. Even the mighty Bossvolt can't get in the way of this 40 kilogram beast. Of course, it turns like a barge, but that's not enough to spoil the fun by any stretch of the imagination.
Jongmyo Shrine
Standard Track Sunday, 1st September 2024 |
This track may not be the most complex, but I like it. It allows cars with a very high top speed to really stretch their legs, and the low-speed turns help to balance it out better than some tracks which are just full throttle all the way. it's a great replica of the real shrine, as well.
Déréalisation
Standard Track Wednesday, 31st July 2024 |
Interesting track. When I played it, I had to lower the draw distance to get a good framerate on my feeble old computer, which ended up adding to the atmosphere. Also, I used Nitromare and was repeatedly bested by Trundle Buster, so I now headcanon that Nitromare is secretly terrified of Trundle Buster who shows up in his nightmares.
Fulon X
Pro Car Monday, 29th July 2024 |
Some cars sacrifice acceleration for top speed. Others sacrifice top speed for superior handling. Fulon X sacrifices all three, and gets absolutely nothing. He is the worst in his rating in every way, and even struggles to keep pace with cars in lower ratings, especially when controlled by the AI. Why Acclaim didn't make him Semi-pro or even Advanced is beyond me.
Re-Volt Abduction

An interesting concept. Re-Volt Abduction is probably the closest thing to a Re-Volt story mode that exists.
Corvette TTOP
Pro Car Monday, 1st July 2024 |
This car is a textbook example of the blatantly overpowered NFS4 cars that were popular in the earlier years of Re-volt custom content. It sticks to the road like glue, turns on a dime, and can reach a top speed of about 57 miles per hour. That being said, it’s fun to have around if you set CPUselectabe to false. If I ever find myself struggling with a seemingly impossible time trial on a custom track, this car can get it over with quickly and effortlessly.
Custom Coupe Ultimate

that's the way with most custom cars of this era for some reason. (This one is an extreme example, though).
MS Alice Itasha – M1 Tank
Skin Sunday, 31st March 2024 |
This is just about the last car I would have expected to see a skin for. Nice work.
Retro Raider
Semi-Pro Car Friday, 29th March 2024 |
This car has tons of grip so sliding isn't much of an issue. Its weight makes it resistant to pickups. I also love the retro styling. However, it can be a handful due to the wobbly suspension that doesn't like to go straight. Be gentle with your corrections on straights and exploit its powerful grip in the corners, and you have a strong performer that can leave most other semi-pros in the dust.
