Splat!
Standard Track Saturday, 5th April 2025 |
Great track. Visually perfect, the obstacles are placed in nice places that determine your approach to corners and are an integral part of the track layout. Like some of the benches make it impossible to wallbang off the wall behind them, but some of them offer some mini-shortcuts (not necessarily faster) or alternative paths to avoid some zaps, oils, clones, whatever. The alternative paths are here only to make it possible to avoid major action from pickups, they're not faster, it's fine. But makes it more difficult to remember the track. I like the mixed surface type on the grass and beaten path, adds a nice dynamic for taking these turns and being alert of the car. The last jump is quite sharp and not equally consistent along it's entire length, (taking it on the right is better than on the left). Short but very dynamic, doesn't make you feel one lap takes only ~23 seconds to complete. The reverse version is very flowy, although at first it's extremely confusing on where to go, as flags are not turned in the directions the car should follow, as well as one "sharp right" direction arrow is not present (near the exit of the pool section).

Galaxy World 2
Standard Track Tuesday, 25th March 2025 |
This track is significantly simpler than Galaxy World 1, but it actually doesn't mean it's easier in all areas. There is fewer corners and it's easier to see them and set up for them, but the spinning platforms part is extremely difficult to drive perfectly on. A small divergence from an ideal racing path makes the car either crash into the green middle part on the second platform, or can send your car sliding on the landing or crashing into the green mini dinosaur. It's a frustrating part of the track. Also one of the corners in the "spacestation" part is made in such a way, that you need to anticipate there is another wall edge you need to avoid, other than the first visible one, so that one requires hard memorisation, if you want to take it close to the wall. Other than that, it's a very good medium difficulty track. Well placed pickups, nice visuals, sounds, quite a bit of wall turns. Although it's strange to see playgrounds and dinosaurs as well as a spaceship/spacestation in one setting, I don't think it fits well but I understand the idea (various fun activities for kids, and that can include scary dinosaurs and amazing space). The two racing line problems I laid out do not appear in the reverse version, which I rate higher, more enjoyable to play than the regular version of this track.

Galaxy World 1
Standard Track Tuesday, 25th March 2025 |
Amazing racing line, I am generally a big fan of mixed surfaces, including changing surface type mid-corner. Corners flow one from another and there is no unusual, counter-intuitive blindspots to remember. Pickups are placed in good places - most of them slightly off-line, but not too much so it's a balanced trade-off. Visually the track is very clear, the textures make it easy to follow the track and it flows from corner to corner very nicely. I just always mistake the starry texture as a carpet, and I expect it to be slidy, not grippy. I am a huge fan of the long left corner, which starts quick and it becomes tight at the very end, making it necessary to slow down mid-corner to nail it correctly, and it gives a nice feeling of speed and control. A minus of the track is the train, AI crashes quite often in singleplayer races there. I also like the kids' playground area, it's very slidy so it's necessary to set up and prepare for the next corner in advance, but crashing there isn't a tragedy and you can easily continue driving forward. I only don't like the one left corner, where it's fastest to bounce off the wall mid-turn-flight and land, that can be a bit random at times. Other than that, I see no negatives. Reverse version is also great.

Aquarium 1
Lego Track Sunday, 29th December 2024 |
Very good track, but it's a bit claustrophobic due to how relatively tight the alleyways are. That makes it necessary to memorize most of the track, although it flows very nicely when driven properly. I like the obstacles on and near the walls, some of them are usable, some must be avoided. At least one jump+turn and one regular turn happen very suddenly and need a proper memorization to drive them without going off wide. It's nice there are no shortcuts. Maybe some extra unique posters/things on the walls could help with highlighting where the player is to remind him of preparing for these sudden blind turns, similar how some lines on the floor or obstacles can be used as reference points for turning points on some other tracks.

POD: Alderon
Standard Track Sunday, 22nd December 2024 |
This track is the oldest POD conversion track and the only POD conversion track that doesn't make use of all custom assets for other tracks. It could use a small update, bringing it in line with other POD conversion tracks made by Mr.Roblinx

Man, I don't know about this time trial time. Overall it's a track with mostly one important turn.

Toyeca – Dimmskii 94 (RAMMSTEIN)
Skin Tuesday, 10th December 2024 |
I don't know what this skin is supposed to represent, but it's a very well made skin. It's high-res, but everything is placed in proper places, the detail is very high, everything's symmetrical, colour theme makes sense and fits, the rim is beautiful, as well as the tyre. The only things I don't know what are supposed to represent are black marks on the wheel coverings.

A strawberry? More like a lollipop! Great skin, looks like original, but so unique and nice to look at.

Amberdawn Hill – Extreme
Standard Track Friday, 1st November 2024 |
The best of the Amberdawn Hill tracks, very well flowing corners with a couple of ones that require a proper setup to nail perfectly. Some of them are taken flat out with full grip, some of them slowly with full grip, some of them can be used with a small slide. Well flowing, straights are not boring and the track isn't dominated by any time of a corner (slow/fast)
